Of Concrete Frost

About this artwork.

Commissioned cityscape series that was completed in February 2021. This artwork comes as the sequel of a painting done in 2015, which was first publicly displayed and collected in 2018.

Given the universal, structural, and geometrical settings I more than often use, this composition embraced the scheme ideally, as the only requirements given by the person were to design a two-piece architectural set that, with the appropriate palette, would bring harmony and balance to the precursor.

“Black fog devours me, but I can see it all
The monument of my past,
this land of seven horizons before my eyes
I reach the land of spiritual rest

Black fog,
Somberlain

It’s the dawn of descending
– I am the Somberlain
down to evil divine domain” Dissection – The Somberlain
